- ReadMe File for the PIIX4 (430TX) Patch Version 1.3
-
- June 30, 1997
-
- I. Introduction
- ================
- In Windows 95 version OSR2.0 or earlier, the Univeral Serial Bus (USB)
- and the PCI to ISA Bridge devices from the Intel 430TX chipset mainboard
- cannot be correctly recognised and the drivers for these devices were not
- included too. So after installation of the Windows 95, there will always
- be a QUESTION MARK next to these 2 devices. Indicating that the the driver
- is not installed or the device is not working properly.
-
- The problem is that Windows 95 OSR2.0 or earlier version, were released
- before the 430TX chipset hit the market. So these earlier version of the
- OS, do not have the correct drivers build-in.
-
- In order to resolve this problem, we are offering this patch program, to
- allow Windows 95 to correctly detect the devices. After installing this
- program, you will find that both of these devices show they are working
- properly.
